Lynn, a native of Kernersville, lived in Roanoke, Virginia, and worked for Norfolk Southern Corporation until moving back to Kernersville in 2000. She and her husband, Jerry, have one son. Lynn is a dedicated member of Green Street Baptist Church, and she enjoys reading and camping in her spare time.
