Historical Site
Built in 1870 by William Calkins, this historic homesite housed the original President of Valparaiso University, Henry Baker Brown, and became the original campus for Valparaiso Univesity. Many dignitaries were hosted here including William Howard Taft, 27th President of the US; Williams Jennings Bryan, 41st US Secretary of State; and Thomas Marshall, 28th Vice President of the US.
