The Home-Selling Process

The home-selling process is smooth sailing with the right agent at your side.

The Home-Selling Process

Where to Begin

The first step in selling a property is to identify the reasons and motivations you have for selling.  These may be as obvious as a job change to a distant community or the family is outgrowing the available space that you currently have.  Your reasons may be more subtle; such as the desire for newer amenities or a closer proximity to recreational facilities. The reasons you uncover will help you and your agent to determine all of the options that are available to you.

Included in this decision should be a discussion on the condition of your local real estate market and the area to which you would like relocate, your financial goals and objectives and how quickly you would like to make your decision.  Your BHHS Executive Group agent is prepared to share with you information relating to the appropriate time to place your home on the market, the value of remodeling vs selling, as well as what you may expect to receive from your sale.

Working with an experienced agent

The significance of your selection of one of our experienced agents will become apparent during the presentation of their Real Estate Sales Proposal. The experience and training your agent has received will give you great comfort as they lead you through the comprehensive list of services that they will be providing - from the Pre-Marketing Assessment, the Pricing Strategy, the Marketing Strategy, the Sales Negotiations, and the Closing Process

Make the most of your home inspection.

You know an inspection is inevitable, so it’s to your advantage to be proactive and work with our network agents ahead of time. Since they experience inspections with every client, they’re familiar with local codes and can cue you in to simple projects to complete before the inspection happens. That lets you make important updates on your timeline—well before negotiations begin.

And once the inspection happens? They can help negotiate the price of your home based on the outcome and can write an Inspection Contingency Clause into the contract if needed.
