Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices LARVIA to acquire Marbella estate agency, Value Added Property

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Marbella continues Spanish estate agency’s growth since joining network in July 2019.

MADRID, SPAIN AND IRVINE, CA (July 7, 2020) — Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices LARVIA, based in Madrid, Spain, announced today that it has acquired Value Added Property, a Marbella estate agency which will operate as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Marbella. The acquisition marks LARVIA’s first expansion beyond Madrid and Barcelona and continues the vision of growth that CEO Bruno Rabassa laid out last year: “The message is clear for local estate agents: If you want to take your career to new heights with a respected Spanish estate agency, and also connect with a thriving global real estate network, we want to talk to you.”

With offices in Madrid and Barcelona, LARVIA continues to expand its footprint across Spain with the goal of being an estate agency accessible to buyers and sellers across the country. The addition of the Marbella office expands LARVIA’s reach to the southern coast of Spain and the Costa del Sol at Málaga. As one of the top destinations of international travelers, Marbella gives LARVIA a vantage point from which to expand its international business.

This focus on the future is part of Rabassa’s DNA as well. LARVIA is part of Petrus Grupo Inmobiliario, which has been developing, restoring, leasing and managing property in the region since 1964. LARVIA itself is respected throughout Spain for its expertise, client service and integrity. “When we joined the network in 2019, I said that our decision was about providing real estate consumers with the best service and consultation for decades to come. Our growth in Marbella is about establishing that long-term position for us to serve all of Spain.”

In an atmosphere when smaller estate agencies hope to reinvent themselves, LARVIA finds strength in their alignment with a globally-known brand. LARVIA looks to expand in Madrid and Barcelona as well as across the country to become essential and reliable to the real estate markets in Spain. “We are in a buying position,” said Rabassa. “We know who we are and who we will be ten years from now. We’re ready to share that vision with agencies that may be less sure about their place in the market right now.”

Gino Blefari, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, praised the move, “Under Bruno Rabassa’s leadership, LARVIA is solidifying its foundation while delivering exactly the kind of expansion we expected from the team when they joined the network.”

Value Added Property is a one-stop-shop property consultancy with over a decade of experience and a track record for securing the best deals for investors. The company has a unique personal relationship with clients that goes beyond the sale to meet their property needs at all levels, offering a wide range of after sales services.

The Marbella team is led by founding partners Jonas Krumnikl and Luca Tamburello who established the company in 2009. The company has become one of the leading players in the luxury real estate market, working hard to exceed clients’ expectations while always striving to combine integrity and energy with expertise. Value Added Property’s international team brings a wealth of diverse experience with a relentless focus on innovation to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices LARVIA.

LARVIA’s Marbella team, like all network members, will be instantly strengthened by access to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ “FOREVER Cloud” technology suite, a powerful source for lead generation, marketing support, social media, video production/distribution and more. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has aligned with Salesforce to deliver world-class technology support to its network members far into the future. The brand also provides global listing syndication, relocation referrals, professional training and the exclusive Luxury Collection marketing program for premier listings.

Chris Stuart, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, added, “LARVIA continues to be a wonderful ambassador for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand in Spain. Their growth to Málaga shows us how they will implement their vision as an agency of trust, integrity, stability and longevity.”
