Bernard “Brett” Engert was born in New Orleans and raised in Harahan. He graduated from De La Salle High School and worked at the famed Commander’s Palace where he learned the importance of customer service. In 1996, Bernard laid the foundation for one of the most prominent restaurants in Santa Cruz, CA – Oswald Bistro. After selling the restaurant in 2003, he moved to Oahu where he met contractor, Young Kim, and learned the intricacies of home building. In 2008 he moved back to New Orleans and earned a BA in Political Science with a pre-law concentration while volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. His native roots along with the many years experience in the hospitality industry, knowledge of contracts, and expertise in residential construction makes him a seasoned choice as a real estate professional.
